868-HACK – PLAN.B
Michael Brough’s commitment to minimalism is so strong that even the content of this expansion is minimal. PLAN.B has no new enemy types and barely any new art assets. What it does have is a bunch of new “programs” and difficulty modifiers augmenting the roguelike gameplay’s risk/reward management. The latter are often supremely unfair, but the former mesh nicely with the existing mechanics, making them more unexpectedly deep than ever. If all you want is a reason to get readdicted to the uplifted hacking minigame that was 868-HACK, this expansion will satisfy, but the high isn’t quite as strong as before.
